Lindsey Mann is a contemporary jewellery designer-maker based in Wiltshire. Training at Winchester School of Art and Middlesex University, she graduated in 2002 with a BA (hons) in Jewellery.
Inspiration stems from the colours, shapes and forms recalled from childhood memories, those that are real and those imagined. Her jewellery is characterised by vibrant prints on anodised aluminium combined with oxidised silver to create an aesthetic which mingles domestic with industrial.
Central to Lindsey’s practice is her continual exploration of colour, of material and of the desire to unite precious with non-precious. She predominantly works on small batches and one-off pieces, using low-tech hand-processes which allow for variation and the individuality of each piece produced.
Many of Lindsey’s jewellery pieces have been featured in books and journals, special pieces have been bought for prominent craft collections and she is the author of Coloured Aluminium Jewellery: design & make.
